Should i still get a dog?

When my dad was little he got bit by a dog. Every time I bring up the subject he yells. I really want a dog really badly. Should I still get a dog or get a different animal?

get a beagle or a golden retriever

It's not really a matter of 'should you'...it's up your dad whether or not you're going to get a dog,and it sounds like a big 'no'.

I was bite by a dog when I was younger too but I would drop the subject for right now. talk to him about another pet something like a small animal, like hamster or something like that. I hope I helped you.

No, because it would not be fair on the dog to live in a place where not everybody wants the dog around, the dog will pick up on that, so I don't think thats such a good idea. Maybe just wait until you move out when you are older.

well my brother got bit by a dog when he was younger (I was only like 7 + I cant remember if it was a dream oor real) aha, but I think it was real well hes fine now anyways but it was quite a tough dog. I think if you do you should get a labrador or retreiver (there sooo nicee) but normally when a parent says no, its a no. so you might have loads of convincing. good luck xD
