Same thing as eating fish three times a week extending your life, or regularly eating fruits & vegetables. It's all statistics. That doesn't mean you will necessarily live longer, but that the odds are better that you'll live longer. Also, if you exercise & eat better, you'll be more likely to enjoy your life, if you live longer or not.
