depends on the region you are in..its much more closer in islamic areas...

I disagree. I think it is clearly defined in the U.S. Constitution when it says that no religious test is required for public office. When you combine that with the Establishment clause, it is pretty obvious that religion and politics are not to mix.

no. religion should not be associated with government at all.
Once you start to do that, everything becomes a mess.
The Church starts to think that they are the most powerful institution in the world and stuff like that.
Look what happened in the past when religion was associated with government!!!

That's my view on it.
