Recession

I would like to know how the recession has affected your life in the USA whether your 13 or whether your 60 , how negative or positively has it affected you ? I would like to know the american point of view from here in almost uneffected middle east

Very negative —

Company closed, lost my job, still searching for a replacement with nothing in the works at all.

Majority of jobs are entry level — I have 30yrs in my field — but add me to the others in my field, and there’s suddenly WAY more people looking than there are positions.

Over qualified for reentry, basically leaving it to luck, and then service work which is an insult for anyone because they’re the least paid, and in the most need…

No job, means you have to rely on others to help — making things stressfull for them too. It’s a big cycle that affects everyone.

The purse strings are tight and going to get a lot tighter with higher taxes, more super spending, and inflation coming that will take the price of goods and services way up due to current government policies…having to ‘buckle down’.

well, kids like me aren’t much bothered, (maybe shortened allowances for some) but I guess, some working parents are affected by it. like my mom, working for washington mutual (bank), and my dad, who has a wine business, and he may be affected by it..
