How do i learn about using a proxy?

How do I view my proxy? I dont know much about a proxy so I just want to know

You're not using one, unless you specify one. A proxy is typically used to mask your identity on the internet - eg, we map your location on FunAdvice, and if you use a proxy to access our site, we show that in our administrative area that you're on a proxy.

However, there are two kinds of proxy you can use. Though, unless you're incredibly concerned about internet privacy, then there's not need to worry b/c even using one isn't going to secure your actions from your ISP, who will be able to track your every move, etc.
