Do people look sick and dead in heaven?

im just wondering if you will give your opinion..and what you truly believe.
well..a reletive passed away and I went to the prayer service..it was very hard for me because I dident really think how different he would look. I thought he would look pretty much the same. but when I looked at him..he looked terrible. he looked extremely..totally different. he was only about 39 I think..and he looked like he shrunk. he looked like an old man. I have no idea what happened to his forehead, it was really really big. I feel guilty for writing this..on funadvice, but I just really really need to know..when people go to heaven, do they remain like they were in the coffan, all different,and sick looking? or do they look like they were before they ever died? like what do they look like??

Heavens NO, that old physical broken-down body is left behind !! - a saved person will have a beautiful body - in His likeness - no pain - no disease forever-lasting, etc, Amen !!

well, no. the bible says theat when we go to heaven, we cast off our earthly shells and the way we look and stuff, and we get to be entirely new! so nobody knows what well look like, but somehow we'll recognise ecah other.

He will not look as he does in the coffin. Don't think about that body, think about your friend as you knew him. If you need to find a picture of him before death.

I think you are really worried more about the issue of anyone looking terrible in heaven and they won't.

Not all undertakers do a good job. Remember your relative as he was and treasure the good memories. Sorry I can't answer the rest of your question but I'm not a believer.

WE are a spirit, we have a soul, and we live in a body. The part of us that lives forever is our spirit. At the resurrection, we receive a glorified body, that will be ours from then on. We can look at the example given of Jesus, after his death, and resurrection. He walked with his disciples for a time, and they did not recognize him, until he did a familar action, of breaking the bread, and blessing it, they recognized him then, he also was transported from one place to another without the limitations that we currently experience, and he was able to go thru a door, without opening it, also, he could eat food, and he could be touched, like flesh and blood. So, all of this is a picture of what our glorified bodies will be like, when we receive them.

Saved people do have not have to worry because there body is left behind and they will look better in HEAVEN so no worries.

The bible speakes of a heavenly body. what we see here is a shell for the spirit to live in. you just saw what we look like without the breath of life in us. As believer we are in heaven with perfect bodies.

gosh no, the body is just a place where our souls are kept until we are called to be with the Lord. the body you saw was just that...the body. the package, if you will. but your relative left that body before it even became ghastly looking like that. I do not know what people look like in heaven tho lol, I just know that everything in heaven is glorious and beautiful and there is nothing ugly or nasty about anything up there

Think of it this way... Your body is a tree, slowly growing and then dieing. The spirit is like air, it can change into whatever you like, its compleitly free without limitations.
