How to take care of a baby without your mom's support?

Any advice on how to take care of a baby without your mom’s support??? Cause when my mom find out I’m pregnant I’m getting put out!!!

Answer #1

Exactly.

You are too young for your parents to kick you out of the house - if she trys to throw you out call the cops and get in touch with CPS (Child Protective Services). She can not legally throw you out of the house at 14 years old. You are her responsibility.

As for the baby - if you are pregnant you need to tell her ASAP! You need to see a doctor to make sure that you and the baby are healthy and you need to start taking your prenatal vitamins NOW. It’s very important - the longer you wait the more health risk you are putting you and the baby at.

Also, your parents insurance will not cover your pregnancy - you need to look online at Medicaid and apply for insurance - most of the time they will not turn down a pregnant woman. You NEED insurance, medical bills, doctor bills, prescription, hospital bills - they go through the roof. Medicaid will pay for it all if you are approved though.

Well, your profile doesn’t say what country you are in.

First, don’t cross your bridges until you get to them. Are you sure you’re pregnant? If yes, then tell your mother. She may be mad for a couple days but then may turn to assist you.

If she does “kick you out” or otherwise refuse to assist you, check to see if your city has a program to assist pregnant teens. Also check with agencies such as Lutheran Social Services and Catholic Social Services.

Don’t give up. There are agencies that can offer you assistance. If nothing else, call your local hospital and ask if they know of agencies to aid pregnant teens.
