Never had a dog in my life!!

Ok so I realy want a dog that is from a local shelter. they are chep and my dad loves dogs. we were gonna get one until my mom got into the conversation. she said, at first you'll love your dog and feed and play with it... Until a month later. I will...

take care of everything and I dont want to. my dad agreed with her. I show a lot of responability but they wont budge! please help me. I have never had a dog in my life... Nither has my mom and she's 42!!! Please help me, a girl who wants heer wish to come true.

That used to be the same as me just keep researching dogs and show your parents how much you know about that type of dog and maybe help out with a friends dog or someones' you know and prove you will look after it.

The good thing about adopting a pet from the shelter is if is does not work out they take the dog back. So I say find out the shelters rules and policey. Adopt a dog, be responsible and then see what happens, atleast if your mom will not let you keep the dog you can take him back to the shelter or find him another good home.
Good luck and Great job on going to a shelter. if you do take your time and find the right dog, may take a couple of visits but make sure you feel that connection. But shelter dogs are not always cheap they still need to go to the vet and have food, water, leash, collar, love, walks, and vaccines. Flea and tick prevention, Monthly heartworm prevention. This is a huge responsiablily.

and make sure you get an easy little dog so you can train with not 2 much effort...

...I don't think it's fair to take in a dog, with the thought that if I get tired of it, I'll just take it back to shelter...if you decide to adopt a pet...then FIRST decide that you will be keeping this pet forever...a commitment...nothing less.
