Hey, I've had my belly button pierced for about a year now. Unfort. it still gets infected, when I change the ring, and even when I swim. I still have the one in from the piercing. Should I try gold?

next week I'm going back 2 the tattoo and piercing shop.

Thanks Laur

Hi,

Trying gold may help, you could have an allergy to the steel or whatever your current ring is made out of. Naval rings are tough because they're in an area with lots of moving and lots of chafing against your clothes. It could just be that your body doesn't like it there and is trying to reject it--it IS a foreign object.

Hopefully the piercing place can help you! Good luck!
