Yes, it took me a while to realize how much they have sacrificed for me. Seems like having a kid is hard, you don't know what to expect and you've got so many obligations, not only for the kid, but for federal and state law... Got to make sure they're in school, got to make sure you shape them into respectable people who will do well for your own society... Well, that's the overall scheme of it.
But it depends. I think your mom and dad should earn your respect just like you earn theirs. Are they good to you? Are they supportive? Do they teach you important lessons (and really think about this, because they might come off as mean or unfair but they're still teaching you something valuable)?
You should very much so repsect your parents. They are raising you, they put a roof over your head, feed you, and work to pay the bills so you can live your life. Try to see things from their point of view, that might help you to repect them more. It is a hard job to be a parent, sometimes they do not always try to see the childs point of view, but they have lived that part of their life, and just may know a little better than the child. There were times when I did not repect my mother, but as I got older I do see why she did the things she did.
Yes, Ephesians 6:1 and Colossians 3:20 say to Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. , Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord.
I think God is telling you something. If your parents are not Christian you still need to respect them simply because they are your parents. Also see Leviticus 19:3 (New International Version) 'Each of you must respect his mother and father, and you must observe my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God. So, the answer is YES.
U really do doe. because you dont give respect to your parent they wont give respect back also you wont get what you want.
Personally I think that parents should have to earn respect from their children. To do that they need to take care of them as best they can, always be there for them, listen to them and try to understand them, and have respect for their children also. It's hard being a parent...you never know what the day will bring. But when you try to respect your children things will always go easier. Same for kids, if they respect their parents then things will be easier.
well technically speaking No BUT you should and any one who says they brought you in they can take you out No they can't yea sure they can send you to foster care and make your life a living hell but they can't take you out taking you out would be killing you and you can not kill any one no matter if you made them or not
