Im not sure if it works the same in the UK but here they have centers that are devoted to finding lost parents, you may also want to wait a while and save up some money bcause they can cost a lot. see if you can find out some more information like where he met your mother because that can help you narrow down the possibilities. You may also want to talk to some of your other family members that may have met them. Aunts and Uncles will often times dish up info that could help you...they may even help you in your search!
Hope that helped at least a little!

Hey girly? Guess what I just went through the exact same thing! I am 22 years old and I just found my own biological father. All I ever knew was his name too. I found him through a online program. I'm so sorry I don't remember the site off the top of my head but I'm going to try my best to find it for you because I know exactly how important it is to you. It's not free but it's the only one I had any luck with! I searched for years so don't give up :-)!
thanks bjetta I myt try that

How can I find my long lost father?
Hiya I have just turned 16 around about and I am trying to find my father I have never met him, my mum will just get upset if I talk about him as my step dad died in 2005. All I know is his name though.
Does anyone know any good websites that are free so I can find him please???
