How do i tell my mom i got my period?

I had my period and I don't know how to tell my mom. My friends tell me to write a letter but is that too harsh. I seriously need help!!!

You should just tell her yeah at first you might be a little shy about it but most girls are! She will be excited you started! You shouldn't be enbarrassed bout it every girl has one!!

Well I had that same expericence but my mom knew already.You should pull her aside and tell her face to face i'm sure she's going to understand because every one has to go threw it even your mom so just tell her.

I am a mother myself .....just tell her it is nothing to be ashamed of . She should know
dont be embarrassed just tell her when your dad or brother? are not around. OK

Ask her to buy you (you know what) at the drug store and keep it on hand in your bedroom for that special time of month.

Any other concerns just talk to your mom she will be very understanding.

I went throgh the same thing except I was at my dads and had to tell her and tell him to get something...all you have to do is tell her mom i got my period the other day i told my mom and she gave me flowers and a note saying how proud she was!! happy

I had to go though the same thing. When I first started I was so worried and stuff. I wasent sure if it was my period or not because I was in the 8th grade and started masturbating when I was in the 5th grade which I was 10 then so I wasent sure if it was my period or not but I woke up that morning and went to go pee n I could tell so I waited a few days to make sure it was my period and then I told her one morning that I got my period and needed some tampons and she told me ok and went to get me some. I was so nervous to tell her and it was really weird she couldnt even believe it herself!!!! I was shocked she couldnt n really didnt believe me but hey thats my mom n she doesnt believe ne thing I say because of my past stuff I have did n what not.

OK dont fret just go up to your mom and say mom I think I had my period. Then she might get all gushy and everything but my mom did too. so just tell her

Dont worry. It's not bad at all. I got mine about 2 years ago. I cant even remember how I told my mom, so it obviously wasn't that big of a deal. Don't write her a note though, that's more embarrassing than just telling her. Just casually talk to her and say, Hey mom, can we get pads (or tampons) next time we go to the store? I got my period.... she'll fill in the rest, trust me.

I know EXACTLY how you feel. When I got my period at 14 I hid it from my mom, and I spent hours agonizing over whether to tell her or not. Eventually she found out, but I had already had it 4 times. I was really embarassed when she told me she knew, but then I went and had a cry, then it was all okay.
