Hi skullring, England calling, yeah I would say the majority of us really do like American accents, bearing in mind most of us were brought up on American movies , and sounded all the more amazing when actually spoken live ,as Americans , apart from the ones visiting the big cities are quite rare, England being a multicultural place at the moment, it's nice to be able to able to understand the easy going language. None of you still say gee whiz!, and aww-shucks! though do you. Enjoy your stay skullring , and try and visit the countryside villages to find real England.

No, we don't mind. We're used to them from the TV and if you're polite and respectful most people will think it's interesting. But be careful, though, because there's a stereotype of American tourists talking really loudly about everything they see, being patronising, calling things 'quaint' and treating the country like a theme park there for their amusement. There are some people who actually act like this and make the stereotype true but we know most of you aren't like this.
Hope you have a good time, and I hope you get to see more of the country than just London.

I'm going to england
Do english people like american accents (in general), or is it just annoying.
- I'm talking about the normal american accent, not the southern, boston, or new york one.
