You should also be taking iron pills if your not going to be eating meat to make sure you are getting the proper amount of iron.
well, an easy low cal protein is rice and beans. We make mexican rice and add canned beans to it all the time. It gets tiring after a while, but you can always add some avocado or some vegan sour cream to change it up! Or different spices too.
Oatmeal is a quick protein, as is potatoe (has as much protein as almonds) broccoli, spinach and lentils are super high in protein.
When you are hungry you could also drink a glass of soymilk, although I know some people don't like to just drink soymilk.
Quinola, buckwheat and spirulina are also whole proteins.
Just remember that grains are lower in lysine and legumes are lower in methionine, which are the two essential amino acids people worry vegans don't get enough of, so if you mix these up, you'll be good.
get some protein, but avoid non-organic soy based proteins, they are highly sprayed with pesticides. In short, honestly, most vegetarians I know complain of always being hungary, are always snacking (usually on empty carbs), and are moody due to insulin spikes and drops. Most are overweight because they eat so many simple carbs, which are converted to fat so easily, and because they are not sustained, you feel hungary again, and eat more. My answer, Eat a nicely balanced diet, and forget about veganism or vegetarianism, it doesn't work.
