It depends on how much you practice and are dedicated to learning to play it

it really does depend how fast you (personally) can learn things. and the difficulty of the songs you're trying to play. I learned easy songs within the first week, two weeks of playing, and just practiced those till I got better at it, then started playing harder songs. just practice a lot.

it depends on your learning capabilities. some people can learn to read seet music and play songs within a couple of weeks, others take a month or so to even understand how to read and then memorize PART of the song in the beginning.

it could be a few weeks, it could be a few years
it depends on how dedicated you are
and howe much time, patience and practice your willing to put into it
you wont learn if you dont practice
and it takes a lot of practice to learn to play the guitar at a good level

With steady practice, anticipate about five years to be fluent, and a life time to perfect it.
