Walk them together...a LONG walk. Start them off by letting them get the feeling that they are a pack...You should start off with someone to walk one, and you the other.
Get them both neutered, if it's not already been done.
You'll have to watch them closely...don't let them make eye contact (that's where fights start...eyeballing each other)...
Find out about the new dog (I'm assuming you know about your dog)...is he food aggressive, toy or people possessive? These are the places they might compete, which causes fights.
Two males can live together fine...you just have to stay on top of it in the beginning...
Never favor the most submissive dog because you feel sorry for it...that causes more problems than cures.

There are several options:
1. Introduce the dogs through a fence.
2. Crate the new dog. Let the dogs you originally had invesitgate the new dog through the bars. If there is any growling correct the dog with a sharp No! There is no set time for how long the dogs are suppossed to interct like this. Some say anywhere from days to months.
3. You can also take the dogs for a long walk together. Make sure it is not the usual walk you take your first dog on as the dog may see it as part of their territory and feel the need to protect it.
Tips: *When you go to pick up your new dog make sure you smell like your first dogs.
*Go to your first dog (without the other dog) and let them smell the new dog on you.
*If a fight does break out and you decide to let the dogs work it out don't go to the loser of the fight. It will create more hostility.
*Have someone else around to help you when introducing the dogs.
*Some people suggest using a muzzle on the dogs when introducing them.
*Do not favor any one dog
Good Luck!
