I used to be a Gymnastist but the reason I was so good was my strong back. I got this by basically doing all streach and really streaching and jumping on a trampoline
I used to do what shantaireid did!!! but in order to be more flexable in anything don't eat sugar!!! it makes you're muscles way tighter. But in order to get you're back to be more flexable just keep streaching you back do some upper back bends.

how I get my backbend more flexible? I do a backbend everyday several times a day but it is still not very flexible.
I have my splits down so I know that I have some hope at being flexible.
