Jill earn $7.25 per hour before an 8% raise find her new hourly wage?? how do I do these problems?? An insecticide is 75% water. How much pure water is in 64 ounces of insecticide?? Please Help!!Thxns

Jill earn $7.25 per hour before an 8% raise find her new hourly wage?
-- For this problem all you do is find out what 8% of $7.25 is... (0.08x7.25=?)
Then you add the anwser from that onto $7.25 and that will give you her new hourly wage.

An insecticide is 75% water. How much pure water is in 64 ounces of insecticide?
-- For this one you need to find out what 75% of 64oz is, so you do (0.75x64=?) and that will tell you how much pure water is in it.

Much easier to simply multiply $7.25 x 1.08 which = $7.83
