solve for y, (obviously in terms of x), in the first equation. then put this in for why in the second equation, and you should be able to find x.

You should get, y = (11 - 4x)/(2)

now, -- 3x - 2((11 - 4x)/(2)) = -3

solving for x, you get x = (8/7)

use this to find y, you get y = (45/14)

Hope this helps

first add , the first e to the second

7x = 14 --- x = 2

then choose any equation and replace the value 2 with x on the equation you choose for example ... 4*2 +2y =11 --- 8+2y=11 --- 2y=11-8

y= 3/2

it is correct but I hope it is very clear ,
