I've been using limewire since the beginning of time I love it. and nothing's wrong with my pc. I wouldn't try putting it on my ipod though. that kind of program isn't meant for installing on ipods. keep it on your pc/mac

I don't use limewire, but pretty much every single one of my friedns do, and their ipods are just fine. if you mean like using limewire STRAIGHT from the internet on your ITOUCH, that wouldn't be a good idea, since itouches don't have virus protection and all that. but if you have limewire on your computer, transfer all the songs to your itunes, THEN transfer those songs on your ipod, that should work fine.

I use limewire and put it on my ipod and nothing bad happens but the only thing that sucks about it though is that you have to go into itunes and name the song, artist, etc. because for some reason it won't it'll just have (e.g. track 05)

I've been using limewire for a year now and I've never used itunes. x]
I know, im bad.
but yea, it's given me a few viruses... but that was taken care of with whatever virus destroyer I've been using.
and my ipod works pretty ok.
I guess it's more of a 'use at your own risk' thing.

My husband does what tinatodder4 was saying, with transferring it from limewire to itunes, then to his ipod and we have never had a problem in the 1 1/2 years that we have been doing that!

Downloading commercial music through Limewire is illegal and against their terms of use.

When using Limewire as a proper tool, the risk of downloading viruses is much less. Also users who actually look properly at what they're about to download will be able to notice viruses and not touch them, leaving their system unharmed. However for music you should always use a proper service provider for it, such as iTunes.
