I think people have the right to dress how they want
some people want to be noticed, some people just like to blend in
if someone wants to wear colorful clothes and have colorful hair it is their decision
other poeple shouldnt make fun of someone because of how they look or dress
I just dont like the scene kids emo kids or any kid when thye get to attachted to their label because they start getting superficial.
Scene kids are often mistaken as emos so they get the same sh*t emos do. It's completely ridiculous. Most the people talking sh*t/hating on them don't even know what they're talking about. I know my TRUE facts so here they are -
Emo is a type of style/stereotype/label and music genre. Emo kids are often very misjudged, so here are you REAL facts on them -
People tend to judge them by what's on the outside and don't even bother to get to know them. That's bullsh*t. a lot of lies/rumors have been started about them.
There's really nothing wrong with them at all. They're not all attention seekers, only the posers act like that. They're not weird, scary, evil or anything like that. A lot of people don't know the true meaning behind emo as a style. A lot of lies have been started about it such as emos cut/are depressed/are suicidal 24/7. That's COMPLETELY untrue. Suicide is something that should be taken seriously no matter what and has nothing to do with ANY stereotype. Cutting/self harm is an important matter that needs to be tended to ASAP. It also has nothing to do with any stereotype. Depression is a MEDICAL CONDITION. It has NOTHING to do with stereotypes. a lot of people have depression issues. That's something that should be taken care of by a doctor.
~As I've already stated, cutting/depression/suicide has NOTHING to do with being emo or any other stereotype. Cutting is a serious matter that needs to be handled ASAP. Depression is a MEDICAL CONDITION and a lot of people have it, NOT just emos. That should be treated by a doctor. Suicide is something that should ALWAYS be taken seriously no matter what. It has nothing to do with stereotypes of ANY KIND.
~Bulimia has NOTHING to do with ANY stereotyes either. This is a MEDICAL CONDITION that should be treated by a doctor ASAP.
~Dying your hair doesn't make you emo. A lot of emos have their natural hair color. Hair color has nothing to do with it at all.
~Attention seeking also has nothing to do with emo. Attention seekers are in a class all by themselves.
~Emo is a music type and also a type of style
~People who say things like I wanna turn emo, Am I an emo?, How do I be emo?, I think I'm going/turning emo!, Help me, I'm emo! or Help I think I'm emo are considered posers. If you have to ask other people how to look/be something, chances are your NOT and just trying to be something your not.
~Ignore the haters. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being emo. Emos are actually nice, friendly people.
~A lot of lies/rumors have been started about emos such as they cut, they're always depressed, they're very b*tchy and moody. This is NOT true. As I've already stated, self harm/cutting and depression have nothing to do with ANY stereotype. And you wanna know why some emos might be b*thcy? Because they're sick of the f*cktards who act like they know everything about emo, when in reality they don't know sh*t because they're the idiots that believe they lies! That's very wrong indeed.
~You DON'T HAVE to have piercings to be emo, or be shy. Some emo kids are actually very out-going. Piercings are a form of self expression and body art. It doesn't make you emo just because you choose to have them. They have nothing to do with stereotypes/labels. And as for being shy - just because your shy doesn't make you emo. Some people are just naturally very shy-natured around new people.
~Wearing shoes like Converse, Vans, and skate shoes don't make you emo. Being emo has nothing to do with your shoes.
~Wearing blue, or other funky colored pants... not emo. Sorry, they wear whatever they want. Not ALL are skin tight either. Some are just nromal skinny jeans or even a little loose-fitting.
~Band T's are NOT a must. They wear any shirt they want to.
~If a guy is wearing tight clothes *such a skinny jeans or slim fit t-shirts* and makeup/nail polish... that DOESN'T make him emo or gay. They make skinny jeans for guys AND girls. Makeup/nail polish has become a unisex thing, meaning it's alright for GUYS AND GIRLS to wear it. People have the right to wear whatever the hell they please without being judged.
~If a guy crys, it doesn't make him emo. Guys are humans too, therefore they have feelings/emotions. It's 100% completely normal for a guy to cry/show emotion. We all have to sometimes.
~Listening to heavy metal and screamo music doesn't make you emo. A lot of people who are hardcore metal fans are called metal heads. There's a HUGE difference between metal heads and emos.
~Painting your nails black doesn't make you emo. Nail polish has nothing to do with ANY stereotype.
people think that scenes and emo's want attention and that is not true at all because only posers and fakes want attention.or people that need help.but anyways.I love the scene (since that's what every1 calls it) lifestyle or whatever it is and I dont think there is nothing wrong with it.it is just the way people express themselves. same with the emo genre. arg.this is hard.I dont like sterotypes.hopefuly you get what im saying
they diss them because they either have no idea what the words actually mean, or because they knwo the most of the kids who are emo/scene ect dont know what the word means
scene is nothing but an attention seeking style and
emo is nothing more than a style of dress and a genre of music
it has NOTHING to do with cutting (self harm)
depression (a mental disorder)
suicide, eating disorders, ect
because feelings and emotions play NO part in any label or stereotype
which is what majority of the kids who talk about emo and majority of the kids who call themselves emo still don’t understand
I think its retarded that people diss people about steryotypes and what group they fit into.
Scene people have freakin AMAZING hair and are so colorful
EMo's have such fun style and haave great hair too!
Goths are daring and often exceptionally poetic and deep thinkers
ECT. ECT.
They all have their perks...and NO ONE should be dissed because of it. People diss people out of jealousy. Ignore the comments, unhappy people will say unhappy things. Be comfortable in your skin and if you adapt a new style, have fun with it!
People have labled me Goth everywhere I go, but I label myself Unique and Different. Its fun being yourself...even being labeled into a group, you can still be crazy adding your own things to your style.
Emo/scene used to be alright,
Until you start getting these tryhard little teenagers running around like: OHEMGEE! I'M SO EMO!!111ONE!!! like, LOOK AT ME, YOU'RE SO UN-EMO! AND I'M SO SCENE TOO! I'M SCENE AND EMO AND GOTHIC!!! I'M SO COOL! PREPS SUCK1!!!
It totally killed it.
People totally screwed up the deffinitions for each stereotype and some even tried to mend them together.
THIS is what happens when you show people anything remotley original,
They take it, and everybody follows it, to where it becomes nothing but another uncreative trend that starts to become hated.
People really just like to hate on someone who doesn't dress like they do.
But the truth is...not even people who are stereotyped to be in the same clique dress alike.
Like people who say they are normal don't dress alike either. Preppy chicks I admit do wear a lot of the same clothes, but isn't that what they're saying is bad about emo and scene kids?
There is no normal way to dress. Anyone can dress anyway that they want to, and they shouldn't be put down or made fun of because of it.
Also, when people call themselves emo, scene, goth..whatever, they are usually posers.
People who dress a certain way just to fall under a certain stereotypical category are posers.
I dress in whatever happens to look good on me or whatever looks cute.
I knew a girl who used to be preppy, but then she started to date a guy who everyone said was the emo stereotype and she started to dress like him.
Then she started to call herself emo. And when she got tired of the dark colors, she went scene. A poser.
Just dress however you want to because when you get older, you won't be able to. Just have fun with it and keep your own style. Be yourself.
I don't hate anybody, and if someone hates on me, I ignore it and move on.
It doesn't bother me at all if someone doesn't like the way I dress because I do like the way I dress and that's all that should matter.
Don't let it bother you either.
'Normal' is not necessarily a virtue
but rather denotes a lack of courage.
