Goldfish-Black Smudges

I am currently getting black smudges all over my goldfish and they are recently dissapearing! It is the wierdest thing. All of which has happened in the last two weeks. Does anyone know why or what this is?

Thank you so very much for your help!!! He is doing just fine! The black smudges went away and now my other goldfish went from bright orange to completely albino white in less than a week and a half! What the heck? Is this normal too?

yup, make sure the water quality is good, and watch your goldfish’s eyes. if they cloud over then you need to buy a bottle of drops to get rid of it. petsmart can help you with that…or petco, whatever is closest to you.

I read that goldfish develop different colours all throughout their lives - I read about it when my goldfish developed some different colouring. Just make sure the water quality is good.
