Last year I bought a virus remover which cost me $53. I had never had spam but since installing it, I have had so much spam. My son said I could get free virus remover from MSN. Does anyone know anything about this and do you know of any other website where I can get free virus remover?

Grisoft's Virus tool is very decent for a free tool. That one is AVG correct? He also needs to download 'Adaware SE' and 'Spybot S&D' possibly cwsshredder if it is a CWS exploit.

Spyware comes from active surfing more than past bugs reloading. check your history, delete your temp and temporary internet folder contents, and be suspicious of the boy. Getting rid of spyware is just time consuming mostly, but it only takes a second at the wrong kind of website to catch a bug. Also consider switchng your browser from IE to Mozilla Firefox which is much better at avoiding downloaders and bad bugs.

Spam is unsolicted email. A virus is a small program that produces unwanted results. A spam blocker will not block a virus and a virus blocker will not block spam. Do not open spam emails and do not run attachments. Spyware is not a virus it just tracks where you go on the web so you can get more spam. It's annoying and comes in pretty packages (like "Smiley Central", So don't download "free" programs for your computer. There are two safe places to download. http://www.download.com and http://www.filehippo,com/

If you and/or your son would like to play games and see ads with no spyware (and earn money) try http://www.kerclink.com/AffTrack.htm?MID=116006 *no spyware!

P.S. The best firewall is your brain!

All the Info you need is on this site http://www.ehow.com/how_2038840_rid-viruses-free.html
or go to http://www.how-to-get-rid-of-viruses-for-free.com/ or http://www.HOW-TO-GET-RID-OF-COOLWEBSEARCH.COM/

How to get rid of viruses for free
1st go to to these links and download there free spyware they are listed in order of what I think works best. Please use them all you will need to.
1. spybot link http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html

2. clam virus link http://www.clamwin.com/
3. cws shredder link http://www.intermute.com/.../...der_download.html

After loading the programs you may have to do a scan 5-10 times to get rid of the viruses. One scan and clean probably won’t work. You must use all the programs 5-10 times to be effective

After you find the name of viruses you might try and delete them yourself be careful if you don’t know what your doing you could do damage to your system.

Here some links to anti-spyware programs you can purchase. (they should pay me for this but they don’t)
1 AVG http://www.grisoft.com/doc/1
2 pandasoftware http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/ActiveScan.htm

I recommend Avast antivirus. It is free.

http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html

I use this and never have any problems. It is also very user friendly.
Why pay for something you can get for free legally?
