Favorite metal gear solid game?

Now that the series is over, which do you think will still be your favorite game? (Excluding in terms of special effects. Just plain 'ol gameplay.)

I think it would be between the first and the third.
I'll never get bored of those two.

I like the one where Solid Snake is a professional chef in a high-stakes bake-off. I think it was called Cooking Mama.

The first one on the PlayStation. After that, no amount of graphical creaminess, could cover up the cheese-factor.

MGS4 and MGS3 I mean comon who doesn't like a game that has a gun (patriot) that has infinite ammo! well thats not the only reason why but yeah.

LOVED the first game, for a game of that time it had an incredible story to it and the gameplay was good...and the second one was good when you had to take pictures of the general and when you took stupid ones the game was like just blow it up and put it in your bed haha 3 brought a different element of gameplay into it but aint played 4 yet

I loved the first a whole lot.
Especially Psycho Mantis, as do most people. But hey, that battle told me that apparently I love The Legend of Zelda.

The third was my favorite due to the fact that it played as Big Boss, and that it showed plotlines from other games, and how they originated.

ok, screw it, I'm gonna say something no one has said yet, the second one was the shiznit! Snake was awesome then they gave you introduced Raiden... he becomes a cyborg ninja and kills vamp! that's amazing, the second and fourth one all the way!

No doubt, it's the second one
Raiden, Vamp, Fatman, the soundtrack, EVERYTHING about it is perfect

although all other MGS games are great I love the 2nd above them all.
