they did remake the original on ps2 but too many complaints because the picture quality was inconsistent with the lense capabilities so as a result the console kept crashing and it would usually crash during saves so you would need to turn the console off thus losing all files on your memory card (8mb for ps2)

I bought the metal gear collection game for playstation 2 but the first metal gear is only for playstation one somebody knows why they didnt make one version of the first metal gear for playstation 2 .
