yea I've heard that too..
but I don't know..just get razor sharp layers..
or take a pic to your hairdresser..that will
help a lot..I don't know if I'd dare to cut my own hair!
because remember..hair doesnt grow out quickly if
things go wrong!

You can set mirrors so you can see what you're doing, take razor blade, and layer your hair, put front hair on one side and make a longer side fringe, then take thin pieces of hair and layer them gently, to make them thinner on the ends. Have the shortest hair on top of the head, with spikey hair. Good luck!

really unless you want to look like you went in got a 3 year old to cut your hair you need to go to a professional.

My advise is print off Kool scene/emo/punk haircuts you totally love in take them to your stylist. Its what they are trained to do 3

Grow your hair long shave your head and just leave a little bit all around your head and just leave some over one eye the use hair straterners to make it look COOL over your eye

not all emo's and scene's cut their own hair. personally I'm scene. I get my hair cut by my moms friend. just go and ask for lots of layers and maybe some bangs. the bangs are really into the whole scene emo look now-a-days. I got bangs and really layered. and after you get your hair cut, style it with a hair straightener. all you have to do is take it layer by layer and SLOWLY straighten it as slow as you can or your layers wont show up as much as you want them to. I hope I helped, I doubt I did but worth a try :]]

I have read this and just tried it didnt go to bad but it didnt work as I wished but I think if I do it a few times after it grows back I will get better at it but for now I suggest you go to a professional :D hope this helped x
