Eating healthy yet still fat

Asked by curiousmuch 3 months ago, 6 answers.

When I was young up until the age of 9 I ate burgers chips pies etc but I still ate a lot of veg and fruit, when I was about 12 I lost a ton of weight not skinny but healthy, I cut out the chips and pies and had the occasional burger I eat like that now...

except I have proper meals instead of frozen food like homemade lasagnas and casseroles all with veg and I eat low fat yogurts and a lot lot of fruit I even do situps and running about 3 times a week I cant do to much as I have a ligament condition anyway ye so I think im generally healthy but I have like no muscle and im not toned I have layers of podge where as girls I know who eat chocolate all time and snack on bread are toned and slim , what am I doing wrong could it be from possible stored fat cells when I was younger

Try meats, they help build muscle.

I'm not sure if you eat this very very often but lasagne is extremely high in calories according to my mums cookbook. You could maybe try downsizing your portions and no more than 5 fportions of fruit and veg a day- although it is very healthy fruit and veg does still have calories, particularly bannanas, advocadoes, potatoes and coconuts.
