its important to restore glycogen. meaning your muscles need raw materials to recurperate after your work out. drink water or natural juices after your done with your workout. A light meal/snack within 2 hours after exercise is terrific. A balance bar or a lean turkey sandwich on whole grain bread would make a nice after-workout snack. You could also choose an egg, or a simple salad or fruit drink. [ dont eat a heavy meal before/after excerises you’d get sick, and i wouldnt eat sugary foods either you’d COULD get sick from that too ]

Just eat a healthy balances meal. Stay away from juice it contains sugar. Green vegetables should help a lot cause they contain minerals like magnesium, bananas would also be could cause of the potassium,both are minerals which helps your muscles recover fast.

After a workout, you need three things that the body is lacking:

*Simple Carbs/Sugar - this will help raise insulin so nutrients can flow quicker to the muscle and give you a nice boost.

*Protein - This is the nutrient the muscles need to repair torn muscle tissue after a workout and prevent insulin from decreasing too fast after you’ve consumed the simple carbs.

*BCCA’s - Take this either from a standalone supplement, or through creatine, which helps maintain that insulin spike to allow proper recovery.

45 minutes later, it is important to consume complex carbs and protein to maintain the insulin levels for a more extended period of time to allow recover and repair of muscles.
