Bruising for no reason

For quite some time now, as in a matter of many many months, I've gotten random bruises on my legs. Sometimes they're big, sometimes lots of small ones. And always a lot at once. It's not because I run into anything. I am not a very active person, I stay inside all day. I know I don't get them from bumping into things without knowing, because there are too many bruises at once for that. I don't eat red meat, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it...
What could be the cause of all these bruises?

I have the exact same thing, I still don't know what causes them.
I wake up with like random bruises and it just confuses me. One night I slept over at my boyfriends house and woke up with a huge bruise on my leg and he felt bad because he thought he like kicked me or something in my sleep. Some people, like us, just bruise really easily. I don't think theres anything that can be done about it.

do you have any eating disorders? if so the mattress you are sleeping on along with the damage done to your system could be the cause of the bruises. Or maybe you are just a rough sleeper and during sleep you toss and turn violently without waking. Or it could be something much more serious, I would suggest getting your yearly (blood) lab work done at your doctor, insist on it, if you have insurance this is usually covered and they pay to have it done once a year but check first because it can be expensive without insurance.

I would definately get it checked out. This is not normal. My cousin's baby girl kept bruising until some tests were run and we discovered she has Leukemia. I hope you don't have this disease but it sounds serious. It could be you are very iron defficient. Anemia could be another cause for bruising.
See a doctor immediately,
