If you break your rental lease, you might be held liable for rent until the landlord successfully re-rents it.
If you can get by in the rental until the end of your lease, then you might consider renting out the house to someone so that it wouldn't be foreclosed on.
Simply a Rose to brighten your day,
And maybe lessen the cares in your way;
And also, too, to help you to know,
That in knowing you, many others grow!

Break a lease
I have an unusual situation...I moved out of my home and left it to the father of our 2 children...both of our names are on the house. I moved into an apartment in august 2008. Ok, so I just found out I'm pregnant (not his) this apartment wont do. It's a...
two bedroom. Not only that, but my ex can't affort the house anymore, so he offered it to me. If I don't take it, it will be reposessed. My lease here doesn't end until july 2009. What am I supposed to do? It's a big complex, so I won't be talking directly to a landlord about it. Any advice? Or does anyone know penalties if I just leave with or without notice?
