You have to prep the area first, soak your lower region in warm water–or better yet just do it at the end of a shower. Don’t use harsh perfumey soaps on the region either but do make sure the area is extremely clean bacteria causes the pimples. Use a sharp razor nothing cheap (ex: desposibles) and that’s got a good grip and angle to it (those injuries are never pretty) and shave it well and evenly. Afterwards use a good natural body lotion and you should be fine. I would NEVER suggest you wax your own bikini area, there are salons and spas that are designed to do just that and it’s only about $25 and it lasts about a month. Be safe.

Get some women’s deodorant and baby powder and use it down there for the shaving rash.

Some tips when shaving.

  1. Shave in the direction the hair grows
  2. Use a sharp razor
  3. Use a proper shaving cream or aqueous cream if you don’t have shaving cream.
  4. Never shave dry.

Oh and when you go for a wax, remember to avoid waxing right before it’s your period, rather do it the week after. You skin will be more sensitive and more likely to get irritated when you shave the week before your period.
