I had a friend bleach out my normally dark brown hair and on the third try I fell asleep with it in my hair. It was probablly in my hair for 4 hours maybe a little more. It is now white but severlely damaged and falling out in large clumps. I hate the color but I know I ned to wait to fix it but what can I do about it falling out? I am afraid I am going to go bald before to much longer. Every time I brush it, touch it, wash it anything at all it falls out help!

Bleach causes a severe chemical reaction; it's literally eaten away your hair starting from the follicle causing a chemical burn. Your hair may not grow back from that. I would suggest you don't do anything to it and go to a professional colorist at a salon and see what to do, because if it's falling out every time you touch it you're probably well on your way to going bald.

Lucky for you, bleach stops working after an hour... or else you would be bald- completely.

Do not blow dry your hair, straighten, or do anything that can damage it more. Go to a professional beauty store, and get a deep condition treatment.. and see a stylist right away! Most likely you will need to get a cut, and a treatment for your hair.

this same thing happened to me...although I didnt fall asleep with it in my hair, it did start falling out in huge clumps and I was bald in some places. I used Dr. Miracle's products. They all work great and did wonders. I did have a chemical burn and all the hair that I lost came back. I suggest using the shampoo. It has the conditioner in it and you can feel it working. You can find Dr. Miracles in beauty supply stores and even Wal-Mart. This stuff really worked for me...I hope this helps.
