Is black hair dye bad for my hair?

I have dark brown hair and gray eyes and I really wanna dye my hair black so it will bring out my gray eyes more but is black hair dye damaging? like will it hurt my hair ? and will my hair look reall ugly when it grows back?

no your hair won't look ugly when it grows back and the only diffrents about black hair dye is is that it's harder to get out and like any hair dye it has chemicals ofcourse and if your dying your hair you should get pro hair dye because it doesn't have such chemicals normal ones do but they do have stuff to help chemicaly damaged hair and you hair that's growing will be fine
