I can't help but think it's extremely unlikely...nonetheless bacteria do hang around in these things so it's always best to wash them!
In order for there to be ecoli on the apple skin someone/thing would have had to poop on it, or it would have to have had contact with poop, like contaminated water, someone's contaminated hands.
So it's best to wash, but actually getting ecoli would be like winning the lottery as far as your chances go. Besides, you have ecoli naturally in your own body, and it has to be a specific strain of ecoli for you to get sick. (e coli 157 is the most dangerous). If you don't have diarrhea by the time this answer is posted I think you will have beaten the odds.
ecoli floats around in the air and even lands on our toothbrushes..it's ok ..if our immune systems are not in a compromised state then our bodies can handle it as long as our bodies are not being overloaded..besides honey kills bacteria so you are going to be ok
just try to poop on your mom and see if it is e-coli kindof poop and if it is not leave her there to clean it up but if it is help her and say im sorry and wait til your death point
how else can we build our immune systems?

Ate an apple without washing it??
Okay, so today at lunch I stupidly ate an apple segment with honey (like I do everyday) and I forgot to wash it off first. My dad flipped out! He said I could die from E-Coli poisoning. Is this true??? I am like freaking out now!
