Are we really alone?

me...deal with it Asked by roxyrumble 11 months ago, 8 answers.

I have herd that scientists are now saying that its more likeley than not that we are not alone. I have always believed it and personally I like the thought of it. I dont think that there are going to try to kill us, why would they want to? It took a...

relavently short time for us to evolve, or be created. god, or what ever you believe. But what do you think. I want your personal opinion. Could we be the only lucky planet?

Well we're certainly not alone but that depends on your definition of a community. That community being the universe.
Think of ants in your driveway, going about their tunnel business. Are they part of your community? We certainly live with them on Earth, yeah, but would you really care if you were to accidentally destroy their home?

Well that really depends on the person, but most would give an immediate and solid no how.

Now, think of us, Humans, on Earth as the 'ants' in the grand scheme of things. That grand scheme is the universe and there are some pretty big players out there.
Their technology social structure would be incomprehensibly deep and twisted.

I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't understand a lick of it.

Their computers could be whole galaxies. Their bodies could be humongous crystal based organisms sailing through space sustaining by eating minerals in asteroids along the way. They'd commune in unfathomably complex civilizations layered in the most exotic, seemingly backwards, way.

While you may believe I might sound too confident for my own good, I'm just a preacher of our incapability to imagine, call me a realist. Do you think that people living in 5,000 B.C. could imagine a single hair of what we call 'The World' today? Pyramids... maybe. Not much else.

This is heavy stuff, and I couldn't have even scratched the surface.
Now, there are plenty of theories and sightings purporting to give a face to extra-terrestrial visitors of Earth and all I'm saying is; why would they have arms and legs like us? They evolved on a different planet didn't they? The influence to grow limbs can't be common consistently throughout the universe can it? Hell, my Nissan has standard cup holders.

It would be awfully plain if that were standard fare through out the universe don't you think? Advanced sentient alien civilizations wouldn't want to take the time to bother with us and give us undeserving knowledge just as we wouldn't want to bother trying to teach a bunch of ants how to pick better real estate for their settlements.

We could just move the ants away if we wanted... yeah. We have the technology to do just that... why... we could even have ant farms!

Just like our alien 'buddies' could move us away if they wanted... to isolate us... in Human farms!?

It goes deeper.

the religious preson would say yess god created only 1 planet!!!...

however, I am not a religious person. I think it would be absurdly selfish of us to think we are the only beings ever created. dosnt our own existence practical prove that others have certainly been created as well? I mean if you were to see a tree would you say wow what a unique object, seeing as I can only see one, this must be, therefor, the only one that exists! or would you walk a few steps further and look at the forest that lay out of sight? we, humans as a race see our selves as the only tree, when we just need to take a few more steps and start looking for the forest!

I am religious and I believe that somewhere out there there has to be life. There can't just be one in who knows how many planets who got lucky.

Some of the Galelian Moons of Jupiter are believed to contain oceans. I believe the moons are Europa and Colisto. So scientists believe that they may harbor some life forms.

I don't think we're alone in the universe, but I think we may very well be the first space travelling species in our galaxy. I would wager there is intelligent life outside earth within our galaxy, but it has not developed space travel - sort of like chimps and dolphins.

I believe there has to be some kind of other life in the universe, and for the on ewho said we a re the only race to develop space travel; that would make US the most technologically advanced race... but we havent even managed to put a man on any of the other planets in our own solar syystem..
also I think my most important contribution to this will be this; go to
Majesticdocuments.com
now im not saying these are true or not but they sure make you think
(it is declassified documents about UFOS and the governments interaction with them...)
so enjoy (and you have to have adobe or something similar)
