Are scene kids happy?

If you're not happy does that mean you cant be a scene kid? But im as pretty as them, but nt confident enough. But I think I have their body shape. How do scene kids behave? Must scene kids be confident? Are they secluded from society or anti-social? Or are they just happy being like that?

I am what you would generally consider a 'Scene kid'
I have choppy hair, I wear lots of eyeliner, I wear skinny jeans and Band T's, I go to lots of shows, yadda yadda.. But the thing about it is, there are a couple different groups in the scene kid, for lack of a better word, movement.
You have your TRULY scene kids, The ones who don't dress or act the way they do just be popular, it's who they are. The ones who go to shows more than they sleep, and I can not stess this enough, GET INTO THE MUSIC! all those noobs who just sit there at shows and stare at their toes..UM NEWSFLASH? a show is about embracing the music, and showing your appreciation for the Artist(s) who are on that stage giving their performance 110% to entertain YOU! the ones who KNOW the history behind what they do. The ones who learn the name of piercings before they stick them through their face. I, personally, am waiting until I can name, and point out every possible piercing you can get on your face until I get even one, I'm almost there, and I only have a few left to go. Why would I do that? So I can be able to live with myself the next day. Also the true scene kids are the ones that listen to any kind of music they want. They don't stick with the mainstream stereotypical scene kid stuff!

Then You have your posers, The ones who watch online tutorials on how to do their hair/make up, the ones who prance around and make those pathetic 'ZOMFG! GORGEOUS SCENE GIRL/GUYS' videos. The ones who HAVE TO POST THREADS ASKING IF SCENE KIDS ARE HAPPY? I mean honestly, if you're not, well, then you're not!

'I just think I have similar traits' what the hell? Not all scene kids act the same! AND, not all scene kids have the same body shape!

And for the chick who is saying 'Ohh! edge is the new thing, it's the new era.' Straight edge has been around before most of us were born sweetie. Straight edge was made popular by minor threat in the early 80's although it was circulating even before that. Nobody who is truly sXe did it be the cool kid on the block. Straight edge is a statement, It is not a trend! To be straight edge you have to follow certain rules, No consumption of Alcohol, No tabacco and renunciation of any other drug, and no promiscuity (Random Sex with multiple partners) On top of that, If you break Edge, you can never go back, you can be drug free, but you won't have the opportunity to be sXe again, PLUS, you are not technically Straight Edge until the age of 21. You can claim it as young as you want, and you can practice it, but it won't get you anywhere if you are underage.

Stop being posers, and learn your stuff, or better yet, be Y-O-U-R-S-E-L-F!
