I'll tell you one thing.

Emo kids don't always cut themselves.
Emo kids are the ones who dress in black and things like that, basically a cheap version of Goth.

ANYONE can cut themself.
Preps.
Nerds.
Jocks.
All the streotypes.

Get over the cutting thing.

And yes, scene kids are emotional.
EVERYONE is emotional.

what confuses me with all the labels is that they dont make sense. are they like. .. . a way of life, or are they just a style? because if they are just a style then anyone could be emo or prep or watever but if they are a way of life then emos cutting themselves would make them emo.. ahhh I confused myself. so yeah I guess its just a style. but it cant be a style to be emotional. or...can it?

all of these answers are bull crap. ;D
I am a so called scene kid
its kinda confusing about the difference... but
if you have one main catergory as EMO, and to subcatergorys of emo and then scene emo is the more darker side of the Emo culture, and scene is the more bright side of the Emo culture.
Emo is a common music type within the culture.
scene kids tend to wear brighter makeup, and have more color in their hair and apparal, while emo's usually keep to the darker clothing and hair.

there is a lot of debate between the two, but if you aren't even in the emo culture, you shouldn't try answering this question. ;D
