Why isn't *69 working on my phone?

ok theres these calls I keep getting.. they're call then hang up.. I think it's my cousin.. she likes to be a witch to me.. but I want to be sure.. so I turned on my phone hit *69.. and all it said was I'm sorry we are unable to complete your call as...

dialed, please hang up and try again or something along thoes lines.. is there something I did wrong?.. or something else I can try?

you have to dial *67

no, *67 is what you dial before you dial the person's number if you want your caller id not to show up to the person you're calling. if *69 didn't work then they may have dialed *67, making their number unavailable, or, the person who's phone your using doesn't have *69 as a feature in their phone service plan.

no nothing is wrong with your phone the person who did it pressed *67 it hides you number and you can't *69 it at all. it did the same thing to me to.
