Made a youtube got very famous and popular?

Has anyone made a vid on that site and got very famous and popular? What’s it like being on youtube? Can I get filthy rich doing it?

I’m sure a few people have…but I’ve yet to hear of anybody getting “filthy rich” from doing so. We did one video for FunAdvice that’s had ~50K views in 1.5 years, which isn’t bad, but not amazing…I read an article earlier today that said 1/3 of 1% of all youtube videos get more than a million views, and most get less than 500 views.
