Should I worry about the impact violent video games have on children?

I’m enjoying this project!

Answer #1

yes, you should :)

Answer #2

yes very! my cousins jaron and isiah play them and their younger brother ryan (6) plays them and he is very violent, he chokes, and pulls hair, and hits his sister a lot and she usually cries,, and with the older kids, he aims for our balls… be sure to read and do other activities that are educational have them stay away from violent games until they are atleast i’d say 13 or so.

Answer #3

I would go along with the Game rating system. It is labelled on every game weather it for teens, mature, children. Teens are not really affected by the violence according to my professional judgment. It actually is a way for them to vent safely.

Answer #4

Answer #5

Answer #6

Define “children”. If we’re talking below the age of ten, most certainly. It’s not so much that a child can become violent after seeing them as it is the mental scarring you would be inflicting on a small child by showing him dead people everywhere. Anything above about thirteen and you start hitting a sort of buffer zone where the kid is most likely going to find some way of playing the games whether you allow him/her to or not.
