Any advice on where I can find a small partime job. I mean by me being 6 mths pregnant I'm pretty big and hopefully that will not get into my way of doing anything. Any advice? Could I also go to the courthouse and see about a record expungement being done? Besides GOD, your the second one I'm going to ask for advice.
Try craigslist.org, and ask friends if where they work the companies are hiring. It depends on what you want to do as much as what's available.
Something like telephone surveys (if there is a company that does that in your area) where you do market research over the phone pays OK, but it's a pretty high stress job, as people arne't always very nice. I did that for a few years part time in college, and lots of those companies have high turn over.
The local labor department is bound to have lots of ideas as well, they are very helpful - I worked in social services for a bit years ago, and worked with several of the government agencies with regards to labor issues at that time, and they were all very helpful for people that I referred to them. Good luck.
Some ideas:
City, County, State and other government-run Youth Programs Vacation and Tourism spots Hotels/Resorts Parks and recreational areas Swimming pools, golf courses and campground facilities Day and summer camps Amusement/Theme/Entertainment parks Museums, Zoos and Aquariums Airport concession firms Childcare and Eldercare providers Health care facilities Business services (including) Moving and packing companies Pool and spa companies Lawn care and other maintenance companies Construction companies Movie theaters Fast food and restaurant establishments Ice cream parlors, juice bars Clothing and accessory stores Newspaper / Magazine Distribution
The advice above is sound. For the record expungement, it needs to be a misdemeanor, and a lawyer usually helps the process a lot.. A felony I don't believe is expungable. I believe that there are different statutes of limitations for different classes of misdemeanors for removing them from record. Check your local courthouse law library or do some extreme searching on the internet for your particular violation and the statute of limitations for that particular violation in your state.
