why is there a liquid coming out my tongue piercing?

I mean its not puss but its a liquid coming out of the piercing spot what is it and wats with the white ring

Answer #1

I’ve had mine done for a year now and the white ring around it is the dead white blood cells. its nothing to worry about it. After I got mine done I was freaking out thinking everything possible was going wrong but its all normal.

Answer #2

its probably puss, which is a normal part of the healing process if its not puss then something may be wrong and you should see a doctor or go back to the piercer and ask for there advice

Answer #3

Uhm?^^^ Anyways, I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I’m sure it’s normal. That didn’t happen to my tongue when I got it pierced, but it’s happend to a lot of my other piercings. A liquid comes from them that isn’t puss or anything that is a result of infection, it just happens. It’s usually clear, though. How are you cleaning it? I cleaned mine with watered down mouth wash after eating anything. I had no problems.

Answer #4

It’s possibly needing cleaned. Try wetting it with a soft towel then start cleaning (take the jewel out your tongue and then put it back in) it’s what you need to do regulary.
