Why is sleeping under moonlight unhealthy?

I’m not sure if this is true, but when I was a little girl my mom would always make sure that we couldn’t see the moon from the window because she said it could make us sick. is this possible? I’ve searched all over the web if sleeping under moonlight is unhealthy, but I can’t find anything about it anywhere. thanks:)

If the moon is full or very close to full and the sky is clear, then moonliht can be very bright.

If you are not used to sleeping in a lit room, then that will disturb your sleep. You will feel less recreated in the morning. But that’s all, really. It’s the same if there’s a street lantern in front of the window or a lit lamp in the room.

For children who still grow, it’s better to sleep in dark rooms. There’s no final proof to it, yet. But there have been studies that state that light in childrens bedrooms can disturb the development of growth hormons and might lead to other minor misfunctions in their metabolism. Because children grow in their sleep. It is also suspected that sleeping in lit rooms while you still grow can be bad for the development of the eyes.

But there is definitely no major difference between moonlight and artificial light.

It isn’t unhealthy. There is no concievable reason for sleeping under moon light being unhealthy other then possibly being bitten by insects or other wildlife because you’re outside.
