Why is my red headed son so mean?

2 possible options: Self fulfilling prophecy. You were expecting it, so you treated him like that, and he turned out like that. Or it’s a coincidence.

I agree with the above answers, your kid is not mean because he has red hair, my sister has red hair and she is the best one. It could be like said that is what you suspected so unconciously that is how you treated him, or yes it could have to do with school, though personally I never hear of kids being picked on for hair color, there is usually another reason. How old is he, maybe he is just in that stage were he acts out. Also is he the youngest I have seen that play a role in childrens behavior. Try talking to him and finding out why he acts out. When he tells you dont assume the worse, but instead try to compromise with him, on something that works for the both of you.

Sometimes as parents we do not see what WE do wrong, and maybe you are putting him into a category thats different then your other kids and he feels the difference. Hair color has nothing to do with why a kid can be mean, there are issues behind why a kid would be mean, maybe you should look into it more, on if your maybe treating them differently, or his age can be another reason
