Why is he such a cage-clinger?

Okay we had, my Guinea Pig, Sammy, for over 6 months now and, he loves his cage, and I’m cool with that, but why does he always want to go back inside whenever we take him out? We play with him at least 30 min. to an hour a day but he always struggles to crawl back to his cage. Why does he do this, and how can I get him to become more comfortable outside his cage?

Answer #1

Maybe he just feels safe and comfortable in his cage. ? Try just loving him up and petting him and see if he enjoys that,, and maybe he will like coming out of his cage more. I don’t know what you have already tried so why don’t you post what you have tried already so we don’t suggest things that are useless.
