Why do most divorces occur in January?
Why does january have the most number of divorces in a year? Is it mere coincidence or has it got a real reason?

It’s likely because people try to stay together for the holidays. So even if they are having marriage problems back in October, they choose to stay together through November (for Thanksgiving), December (XMas/ Hanukah/Kwanzaa/etc) and the New Year before calling it quits. It’s easier on the family and each other.
