I am in love with my boyfriend, and have been with him for quite some time. im not a virigin or anything, but for some reason, when we get in the mood to have sex he will say the sweetest things. do so much to get me in the mood, and I will be, but intially, once we start, and he gets really close to me, or partly in, I push him away, and I dont know why, I feel sooo bad, because I get him alll happy, and then he gets nothing, and hes willing to wait, but what do I do? why do I keep pushing away, its almost like im not enjoying it. Help!
I think you just have to be ready. Sex is something special shared between two people. Just because you can't bring yourself to finish does not mean that there is something wrong with you, it just means you aren't ready with this person yet. It doesn't matter that you've had sex before, it just matters how you feel with this individual. In a relationship, if you really care about someone, you do not want them to do something because they feel obligated to do so. You want them to do it because they care for you, and because they want to. If he is willing to wait, after you starting with him, then it means that he cares for you, and he isn't just after the sex. He probably understands what it is like not to be ready, and if he doesn't, he understands that you need to be ready before you will finish together. It's ok. Just take your time, and just let things ride out.
Dear sparklindaze, Yes, you have right to be concerned. You need to see a counsellor. There is something that is triggering this response and the response seems to come just before he fully penetrates. There may be a issue of trust? Perhaps you feel you are not fully protected and fear pregnancy? There is something and that something needs to be discovered. Sue...good luck
