Who of you have had any luck with diet pills?

First off I just want you to know the situation. Ok, I have spent A LOT of time reading and I know the risks of diet pills so do not worry. First off: I am 16, but my 17th birthday party is in about 2 weeks and I would like to look somewhat thinner. I weigh 178lbs, but my hips are about 38” Is this normal? Second, I have been changing my eating and exersize habits to about an average of 1K Cal intake, and a net burning of 2K per day, but even over the past 3 weeks or so nothing has really been accomplished. On the scale, or visually. I am curious if anyone has had any luck with a diet pill. I understand they are often placebos (sp?) and frauds, but if any have worked I would like to know. I understand being patient works best, but I would like something to kick start my weightloss. Thanks to anyone who won’t preach about only the downfalls of diet pills, please. I have read it before.

Most Personal Trainers will cut your caloric intake to about 1500 a day. Your body needs the calories to turn into energy. You also want to maintain a healthy eating habit to maintain your metabolism.

Well, where I live you have to be 18 to get them so you may have a problem. I don’t know where you live though so I don’t know. Slimquick worked for me. However, with just about any diet pill you have to exercise and follow some meal guildlines (or eat your own meals, but eat smaller portions and healthier). How tall are you? Don’t take more than the recommended amount. Plus, diet pills can also be a bit on the expensive side.

Everybody’s caloric requirements differ…it’s mish-mash of heredity, metabolism, age, etc etc…there’s SO many facets. I’m a very active person, but I’m old enough to be your grandmother…2000 calories a day would have me waddling like an old hen…I lost 50 lbs 30 years ago, and kept it off by simply watching my weight once I got it down.

If 2000 calories seems to be too much, then cut back to 1750…and up your exercise level…cut out milk products (humans are the only animals that continue the milk habit after babyhood)…

I think probably the over the counter diet pills do not work…look at the ingredients…Green tea? Caffine? Doesn’t seem to me that these would help much…Don’t waste your money.

The bottom line is…you have to burn more calories than you take in…YOU CAN DO IT!!

diet pills dont work also, weight loss doesnt happen fast it happens GRADUALLY it can take months to actually see results you wont see them in 3 weeks, you might feel healthier though and you wont loose much weight in 2 weeks 2-5 pounds is all that would be recommended over that small amount of time keep up the healthy eating and regular exerscise dont start taking the pills dont starve yourself, still eat the recommended 2000 calories a day and if you want to look slimmer buy body slimming undergarments
