Which personality is really him?
I have been with my boyfriend for over 10 years now and I should have him figured out, but lately he has really been showing some bizarre behavior. I have never cheated on him and don’t plan to, but he is convinced that every time I leave the house I’m going to meet someone. He really believes this and when I get tired of his accusations, I just tune him out. Then he calls me names, like slut. He says he’s gonna leave me and take my kids away and I’m worthless. Then he’ll think about it and apologize, but he’ll do it again. It’s a never-ending cycle. He’s very insulting, then very loving, but he goes back and forth so often I really think I’m starting to lose feelings for him. What can I do?
Try talking to him about it Get a counselor
Talk to him. Ask him what is making him think that you are cheating? Tell him that his recent behavior towards you is really bothering you.. Maybe you’re not giving him enough attention?
It sounds like an abusive relationship. First thing you have to know is that you CANNOT change someone else’s behavior. All you can do is change your own. So either you tolerate his behavior and continue living with the mental and emotional abuse… or you tell him you will not tolerate the abuse any more, and leave if he continues… at the end of the day you are in control of your own actions… and that includes staying with someone who does not trust you and is abusive towards you…
Get a friend to talk to him about what makes him like that,if he continues to do so and you can’t handle it anymore,when he’s gone take your kids and get out of there. If he tries looking fro you,leave a note telling him why you left,you don’t deserve that abuse at all.
