where did that noise come from?

Okay this may sound stupid but last night while I was laying with my boyfriend, I fell asleep, then like right as I fell asleep, I heard a really high pitched scream. After I heared it I jumped in my sleep and woke up. Then I asked my boyfriend what the noise was and he said he didnt know. He also heared the noise and we dont know what it was. can anyone help?

probably, the people in the house behind me were partying. but it sounded close to my room, (btw my house is 2 stories and in a huge neighborhood.)
